AB |
[EN] Quantity of gas e.g. CO2, H2S, SO2 or NH3 in a liq. is measured by passing it through a tube section formed from a material permeable to the gas. The tube is surrounded by an annular passage in which a reagent flows with which the gas will react. The liq. is fed through by motoring pumps as in the reagent. Changes in compsn. of the reagent are measured by conductivity cells. The permeable tube is generally a flexible material e.g. -Si-rubber. Used for measurement of sol. gas contents in liquids. Avoids the use of a purge gas and allows continuous operation. |
