[EN] The invention relates to a safety device for motor vehicles, comprising a sensor system (10) for locating objects (30; 32) at least on an adjacent lane to the travel lane of the vehicle and having a prediction module (14) for predicting a degree of blocking of at least one adjacent lane, wherein the prediction module (14) is designed to predict a degree of blocking of the adjacent lane by as of yet non-located objects (32) in dependence on information on located objects (30). The invention further relates to a method comprising the steps of: locating an object (30) on the adjacent lane to the travel lane of a motor vehicle (24); and predicting a degree of blocking of the adjacent lane by as of yet non-located objects (32) in dependence on the performed object location.
[FR] L'invention concerne un dispositif de sécurité pour véhicules automobiles, doté d'un système de capteurs (10) pour la localisation d'objets (30 ; 32) au moins sur une voie latérale, à côté de la voie propre audit véhicule, et d'un module de prédiction (14) pour la prédiction d'un degré de blocage d'au moins une voie latérale, le module de prédiction (14) étant conçu pour prédire un degré de blocage de la voie latérale par des objets (32) non localisés jusqu'ici en fonction d'informations sur des objets localisés (30) ; ainsi qu'un procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : localiser un objet (30) sur la voie latérale, à côté de la voie propre à un véhicule automobile (24) ; prédire un degré de blocage de la voie latérale par des objets (32) non localisés jusqu'ici en fonction de la localisation des objets ayant eu lieu. |
