[DE] Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Starters (203) eines Fahrzeugs, wobei eine physikalische Größe gemessen wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass abhängig von der gemessenen physikalischen Größe ein Starterstrom des Starters (203) begrenzt oder nicht begrenzt wird, wobei im Fall einer Begrenzung des Starterstroms die Begrenzung nach einer vorbestimmten Zeit beendet wird. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner eine Vorrichtung (201) zum Betreiben eines Starters eines Fahrzeugs und ein Steuerprogramm.
