[EN] The invention relates to a modular vehicle system with an electric vehicle, especially a lightweight electric vehicle, and at least one module (20, 20') connectable with the electric vehicle. The electric vehicle comprises at least one vehicle power supply system (4) for providing energy to an electrical drive system (2), one or more ports (12) associated with the vehicle power supply system (4) for connecting the module (20, 20') and a control unit (8), wherein the control unit (8) being adapted to communicate with the at least one module (20, 20'). The at least one module (20, 20') comprises a connecting element (21) to be separably connectable with the port (12), an electrical assembly for connection with the vehicle power supply system (4) and a module control device (25). To ensure a reliable connection of the module (20, 20') and in order to avoid damages to the vehicle and the module (20, 20'), the module control device (25) is designed to send an identification signal to the control unit (8) upon coupling of the connecting element (21) with the port (12). The control unit (8) is adapted to receive the identification signal, to compare it with at least one compatibility parameter and, if the identification signal matches the compatibility parameter, to send an activation signal to a switching unit (24) in order to connect the electrical assembly with the vehicle power supply system (4). |
