57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] To provide a photoelectric sensor for detecting an object in a monitoring area and measuring the distance.SOLUTION: A photoelectric sensor 10 comprises: a light emitter 12 for sending out a modulated emitted beam 18; an optical receiver 26 having a large number of SPAD light receiving elements 26a for generating at least one received light signal from the emitted beam 20 having been reflected by an object in a monitoring area 16; a light receiving optical system 22 placed in front of the optical receiver 26 and having a diaphragm 24; and a control and evaluation unit 28 constituted so as to measure a light propagation time from the characteristics of the received light signal and the modulated signal 18 and calculate a distance value from the light propagation time. The diaphragm 24 includes a plurality of apertures 24a spaced apart from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
