57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] To provide a photoelectric sensor that is improved by simplifying a multiple-beam system and detects an object within a monitoring area.SOLUTION: A photoelectric sensor 10 for detecting an object within a monitoring area 20 includes: at least one light emitter 22 for sending out a plurality of mutually separated beams 26 emitted from each light-emitting point; a common optical system 24 for delivery beams 26; at least one light receiver 32 for generating each light reception signal from reflection beams 28 that are reflected by an object and enter one light-receiving point each; a common light reception optical system 30 for the reflection beams 28; and an evaluation unit 40 for obtaining information regarding an object from a light reception signal.
