57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] To provide a photoelectric sensor for detecting an object within a monitoring area.SOLUTION: The photoelectric sensor comprises: at least one luminous device 22 for sending out a plurality of mutually separate sending beams; a plurality of optical receivers 34 that are allocated to each one of the sending beams respectively, and intended to generate a light reception signal from a beam which is allocated to oneself and reflected on a surface of an object; and an evaluation unit. The evaluation unit is configured to acquire information related to an object at a spot irradiated with the sending beam, from the light reception signal of the optical receiver allocated to each sending beam, and to additionally take into account a light reception signal of at least one optical receiver not allocated to the sending beams, in acquiring information related to the object at the spot irradiated with at least one sending beam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
