57 Abstract AB [EN] The invention relates to a system for preventing motion sickness of occupants of a vehicle, the system comprising at least one acceleration sensor configured to detect at least one acceleration of the vehicle and provide at least one signal 12 indicative of the detected acceleration, a processing unit configured to receive the signal and assign the signal to one of at least three different degrees of risk of motion sickness, and at least one indicator (24, figure 2) configured to indicate the respective degree of risk to which the signal is assigned. The acceleration sensor may already be present and being used as part of an electronic stability program, and it may sense both lateral and longitudinal accelerations. The indicator may light up green, yellow or red depending upon the degree of risk of motion sickness, and/or the indicator may provide an audible signal. The system may be switched on and off based on the presence of occupants other than the driver.
