57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] A method for identifying a layout path (P) of a pressure sensor tube (20, fig 3) to be arranged across at least a portion of a cross member (12, fig 3) such as a bumper of a vehicle. The method comprises the steps: - identifying areas (A) of the vehicle along the width of the cross member (12, fig 3) where impact during a collision can occur, the areas (A) being arranged side by side in the laterally across the vehicle; - performing simulations of impacts in the identified areas (A); - identifying locations (L) in the identified areas (A) in a vertical direction where the maximum pressure rise occurs in the areas during the simulations of the impacts; and - connecting the identified locations (L) thereby generating the path (P) along which the pressure sensor tube (20) is to be arranged. The simulated impacts can be performed at a constant velocity.
