57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] A distributor injection pump for an internal combustion engine comprises a pump piston (2), which carries out stroke and rotational movements and on which a delivery quantity control member is mounted, the member being in the form of an axially fixed regulating ring (12) which rotates with the piston (2). A regulator system adjusts the angular relationship between the regulating ring and the piston (2). The change in the angular relationship alters the relative angular position of several mutually associated pairs of control output openings (13;14) in the piston (2) and the regulating ring (12). Since one or other of each pair of control output openings is inclined to the cross-sectional plane, a change in the angular position results in a change in the piston's stroke before a pair of openings become aligned. This alignment causes fuel to spill from the working chamber (11) so ending fuel delivery. Several constructional forms for the regulator system are described. <IMAGE>
