[EN] Steel, cast iron, synthetic resin or concrete pipes (R) are coated with a hydraulically setting mass, such as cement mortar or a mixture of cement, fibres, aggregates and optional additives, by entraining the mass (7) before it has set from a storage container (5) having two opposite walls moving at about the same speed, one of the container walls being formed by a portion of the circumferential wall of the pipe being rotated about its longitudinal axis and the opposite container wall being formed by a tensioned carrier band (8) having one end affixed to the rotating pipe and being wound about the rotating pipe and the mass applied to the pipe wall from the container. <IMAGE> |
