[EN] The invention relates to a modular RF power amplifier arrangement for a base station for a wireless communication system. <??>It is an object to provide a modular amplifier arrangement which is upgradeable multiply in a fail-safe manner to increase its output power capabilities in a cost-efficient manner, with low losses, high efficiency. <??>According to the invention a modular traveling wave amplifier is proposed comprising a basic amplifier module (100) with an input line arrangement (110) and an output line arrangement (120), at least a first branching line (136) for parallely connecting a first upgrade amplifier module (200), and variable or reconfigurable impedance matching means at the input and/or at the output. <IMAGE> |
