57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] Iodonium salts with urethane groups are new. Iodonium salts of formula (R<1>-I-R<2>)<+> X<-> (IV) are new. I = iodine; X = an anion of a complex metal salt and/or strong acid; R<1> = a group of formula -CDaEbFc; C = a 6-14C monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon residue or an aromatic residue with 5-15 ring atoms and at least one oxygen and/or sulfur atom; a = 1, 2 or 3; b, c = 0, 1 or 2; D = a substituent of formula -(O)x-(R<3>)y-O-CO-NH-R<4>; x, y = 0 or 1; R<3> = linear or branched 1-40C hydrocarbylene, optionally with in-chain oxygen and/or sulfur and/or carboxyl group(s); R<4> = linear or branched 1-40C alkyl, aryl, haloalkyl and/or haloaryl, optionally with in-chain O and/or S and/or urethane and/or ester group(s) and optionally with waterproofing substituent(s) and/or isocyanate group(s); E = a group of formula -O-R<5>; F = -R<6>; R<2> = a group of formula -CEdFe; R<5>, R<6> = 1-18C hydrocarbyl, optionally with in-chain O atom(s); d, e = 0, 1 or 2. An Independent claim is also included for a method for the production of (IV) by reacting an isocyanate compound with a corresponding, hydroxyl group-containing iodonium salt of formula (R<1>-I-R<2>)<+> X<-> (IX). R<1> = group -CD'aEbFc; D' = -(O)x-(R<3>)y-OH.
