[DE] Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung einer Metall-Kunststoff-Verbindung zwischen wenigstens zwei Bauteilen, wobei wenigstens ein erstes Bauteil aus Metall und wenigstens ein zweites Bauteil aus Kunststoff besteht, unter Anwendung eines Umformstempels zum Durchsetzfügen der Bauteile, eines Niederhalters und einer dem Stempel gegenüber angeordneten Matrize, die eine Ausnehmung aufweist, in welche mit dem Stempel der Werkstoff der Bauteile beim Durchsetzfügen eingebracht wird. Verfahrensgemäß erfolgt eine Einkopplung von Ultraschallschwingungen in einem den Stempel zumindest teilweise umringenden Bereich aus Richtung des Stempels und/oder aus Richtung der Matrize, wodurch das Material des aus Kunststoff bestehenden Bauteils zumindest teilweise plastifiziert oder aufgeschmolzen wird und dazu zeitgleich oder zeitlich versetzt bei zwischen Niederhalter und Matrize angeordnetem Werkzeug das Durchsetzfügen der Bauteile erfolgt. Dazu weist die Vorrichtung auf der Stempelseite außerhalb des Stempels und/oder auf der Seite der Matrize Mittel zur Einkopplung von Ultraschallschwingungen in die zu fügenden Bauteile auf.
