Abstract |

[EN] To determine the arterial input function for perfusion measurement, using two-dimensional X-ray projections (P1'-P24') from a C-arm X-ray machine, the machine is directed at the patient's tissue for the arterial trunk (20) of interest. A series of two-dimensional mask X-ray projections (M1-M8) is taken at timed intervals to give a mask volume image of the tissue. Each projection is of a different location (W1-W8). After the injection of a contrast agent, a further series of projections is taken for a further mask volume image. The first volume image is subtracted from the second to give a volume image of the arterial trunk. A point (T) is selected at the artery (21) for the arterial input function to be established using the image pixel values (PW2,MPW2). |
