[DE] Beschrieben wird eine Streichmasse zur Beschichtung von Papieroberflächen, enthaltend a) mindestens ein Bindemittel, b) mindestens ein Pigment, c) mindestens ein Kammpolymer, abgeleitet von einem wasserlöslichen oder wasserdispergierbaren Polymer, dessen Seitenketten von ethylenisch ungesättigten und siliziumorganischen Gruppen enthaltenden Monomeren abgeleitet sind, und d) gegebenenfalls weitere an sich übliche Zusätze. DOLLAR A Durch den Zusatz von Komponente (c) lassen sich Opazität und Weiße von gestrichenen Papieren verbessern.
[EN] Coating mass (I), for coating paper surfaces, comprises at least one binding agent, at least one pigment and at least one comb polymer derived from a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer, whose side chain is derived from ethylenic unsaturated and silicon groups containing monomers. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method of improving the opacity and whiteness of papers comprising coating the surface of the paper with (I); and (2) use of comb polymers with polymer backbone of water-soluble or water-dispersible polymers derived from ethylenic unsaturated and silicon organic group containing monomers exhibiting side groups, for improving the opacity and whiteness of the papers. |
