57 Abstract AB [EN] Industrially arising dust precipitates of heterogeneous and changing composition are upgraded for use in cement, mortar, concrete or other building materials. By heating together with suitable additives, special cooling of the dusts, specific control of the carrier gas and granulometric classification, a product improved for the use is obtained. A noteworthy success is achieved, for example, with fly ashes from coal-fired power stations by using the fine fraction having grain diameters of less than about 30 mu m.
