[EN] The noise reducing arrangement for rolling stock, has the rails (1) supported by sleepers (3) which rest on a concrete slab (8). At each side are oblique laminated steel (6) and rubber (5) bearing pads. Locating between the rail and a sleeper or between a sleeper and the slab, the pad aligns with the laminations at an angle of between 5 and 85 deg. to the vertical. The pads may be located on the perimeter of a plate (9) supporting a sleeper (3). The perimetr has a vertical upstand (7) providing lateral restraint. Alternatively the pads may be mounted on the perimeter of a transverse sleeper, being disposed longitudinally between the sleeper and the slab. |
