57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] The sound attenuating support for a heavy foundation (1) comprises a resilient element (2) interposed between the foundation plate and the ground (3). The element comprises a rubber-metal bearing positioned at an angle at the periphery of the plate which could be the foundation for a machine tool. Each rubber layer of the bearing may be at an angle (alpha) of between 5 deg. and 85 deg. to the vertical. The bearing may extend along two diametrically opposed portions of the periphery of the foundation. The bearing may be arranged in an angle as seen in plan view. The bearing may be sandwiched between metal plates (5, 6;6, 8).
