57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] The invention relates to compounds of formula (I '), in particular of formula (I), to a method for the production thereof, and to the use thereof as nearly colorless IR absorbers for optical filter applications, in particular for plasma display panels or for laser welding of plastics. These compounds can be used in compositions for inks, paints and plastics, especially in a wide variety of printing systems, and are particularly well suited for security applications, or for brand protection; or as a liquid marker. Compounds of formula (I '), in particular compounds of formula (I), represent almost colorless IR absorbers which exhibit high resistance to chemicals and solvents and good light stability and good thermal stability. Due to their unique application properties, they can advantageously be used as IR absorbers, for laser writing, heat shielding, security printing, laser welding of plastics and as markers for liquids.
