57 Zusammenfassung AB [EN] An optoelectronic sensor and method for detecting objects are provided. The optoelectronic sensor (10) for the detection of objects in a monitored region (20) is provided and comprises at least one light transmitter (22) for transmitting a plurality of light beams (26) separate from one another starting from a respective transmission point (22b), a common transmission optics (24) for the transmitted light beams (26), at least one light receiver (32) for generating a respective received signal from the remitted light beams (28) reflected from the objects and incident at a respective reception point (32a), a common reception optics (30) for the remitted light beams (28) and an evaluated unit (40) for obtaining information on the objects from the received signals. In this connection, the transmission points (22b) are arranged on a first circular line (44a) and/or the reception points (32b) are arranged on the second circular line (44b).
