[EN] The invention relates to a hybrid siloxane-based sol-gel composition, a method for the production thereof and use thereof in corrosion protection, particularly of copper materials which are used as heat exchangers for water heating. In recent times, exhaust gases have more and more frequently been brought into use to heat water in heat exchangers for ecological reasons, to save energy and also to save costs because of increasing energy prices. The aggressive ambient conditions found in the exhaust gas flow (high temperatures, low pH value because of the presence of SO2, NOx), demand an effective corrosion protection for the heat exchanger used. |
