[EN] The invention relates to a device for the inductive heating of packaging casings (10), comprising: at least one unit (21) for generating an alternating current; at least one inductor (20, 20A, 20B) having at least one effective section (24A, 24&Agr;', 24B, 24B'); and a retaining unit (19) having a front retaining region (19A) and a rear retaining region (19B) for bearing the inductor (20, 20A, 20B), wherein the inductor (20, 20A, 20B) is connected to the unit (21) for the generation of an alternating current, and wherein the retaining regions (19A, 19B) are arranged in such a way that a gap (S) is formed between the front retaining region (19A) and the rear retaining region (19B), the longitudinal direction (Xs) of which gap corresponds to the transport direction (T) for the packaging sleeves (10). According to the invention, in order to achieve an improved superposition of electromagnetic fields, and thereby achieve a more efficient inductive heating, even with a simple construction, the effective sections (24A, 24&Agr;', 24B, 24B') of the at least one inductor (20, 20A, 20B) are arranged asymmetrically in relation to one another, at least in sections, relative to a central plane (31) located in the gap (S). The invention also relates to a method for the inductive heating of packaging sleeves (10). |
