57 Abstract AB [EN] A method and a device for carrying out a pass plan change during rolling in a multistand hot strip mill by means of influencing the respective roll gap of the stands F1, ..., which defines the delivery thickness 6o of the strip, and the respective drive of the stands F1, ..., which defines the delivery speed 7z of the strip from the stand, are disclosed. The delivery thickness 6o is changed over sequentially, starting at the first stand F1, from the current pass plan to the following pass plan according to a predetermined time-dependent function, observing a defined delivery speed 7z of the last stand and using strip tracking, and, independently of this, the delivery speed 7z at the last stand involved is changed over from the current to the following pass plan according to a predetermined time-dependent function. The strip tension, which is regulated by loop lifters, is changed over from the current to the following pass plan according to a predetermined time-dependent function. In this way, optimum temperature control during pass plan change is made possible, as the strip speed can be specifically influenced using the method according to the invention. <IMAGE>
