57 Abstract AB [EN] A control circuit for the action of a hydraulic regulator formed by a piston/cylinder unit, in particular for the regulation of the movement of artificial human joints, in which regulator the cylinder spaces located on either side of the piston are connected by a passage having a regulating member for the through-flow from the piston side having the piston rod to the opposite piston side, both cylinder spaces additionally being in connection with a compensation space for balancing the cylinder-space capacities varying on account of the piston rod, a non-return valve which prevents through-flow in the direction of the compensation space being provided in the connecting line between the cylinder space free of the piston rod and the compensation space, and a first adjustable restrictor member being provided in the flow path from the cylinder space free of the piston rod to the compensation space. To permit independent regulation of both directions of movement of the piston or regulation of the extraction movement of the piston out of the cylinder, the first adjustable restrictor member 14 is arranged in a bypass line 13 avoiding the non-return valve 12, a further adjustable restrictor member 10 being arranged in the flow path from the cylinder space 5 having the piston rod 3 to the compensation space 9, in which arrangement the cylinder space 5 having the piston rod 3 can be filled via a line 6, 22 having a further non-return valve 7, 23, 24. <IMAGE>
