57 Abstract AB [DE] Zugangskontroll- und Authentifizierungsmechanismen besitzen vielfältige Anwendungen. Im Sinne der Erfindung wird ein adressierbares mobiles elektromagnetisches Sende- bzw. Empfangstool (wie z. B. Mobiltelefon oder Pager) zur Authentisierung eingesetzt. Zu diesem Gerät wird ein Bitmuster (im Folgenden "Ticket" genannt) übertragen. Zeitgleich wird eine Signatur, mit der sich die Gültigkeit des versandten Tickets prüfen läßt, vom Versender gespeichert. Die Gesamtheit der so gespeicherten Informationen wird im Folgenden "Datenbank" genannt. Die Authentisierung des Besitzers eines Tickets erfolgt durch einen Vergleich des von ihm vorgewiesenen Tickets mit den in der Datenbank vorliegenden Informationen. Die geographische Lokalisierung des Ticketbesitzers erfolgt durch eine optische Vorrichtung, welche gleichfalls zur Erfassung des Tickets benutzt werden kann.
