[DE] Beschichtungszusammensetzungen, die erhältlich sind durch ein Verfahren, umfassend die Hydrolyse und Polykondensation eines oder mehrerer Silane der allgemeinen Formel DOLLAR A R¶n¶SiX¶4-n¶ (I), DOLLAR A worin die Gruppen X, gleich oder verschieden voneinander, hydrolysierbare Gruppen oder Hydroxylgruppen sind, die Reste R, gleich oder verschieden voneinander, für Wasserstoff, Alkyl-, Alkenyl- und Alkinylgruppen mit bis zu 4 Kohlenstoffatomen und Aryl-, Aralkyl- und Alkarylgruppen mit 6 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen stehen und n 0, 1 oder 2 bedeutet, mit der Maßgabe, daß mindestens ein Silan mit n = 1 oder 2 verwendet wird, oder davon abgeleiteter Oligomere, in Anwesenheit a) nanoskaliger SiO¶2¶-Teilchen und/oder b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe der Oxide und Hydroxide der Alkali- und Erdalkalimetalle, werden zum Beschichten metallischer Oberflächen unter Bildung einer glasartigen Schicht verwendet. DOLLAR A Die Oberflächenschichten eignen sich insbesondere zur optisch neutralen, glättenden Beschichtung strukturierter Metalloberflächen. Es werden schmutzabweisende, reibungsvermindernde, kratzfeste und abriebfeste Beschichtungen erhalten.
[EN] Coating compositions obtained by the hydrolysis and polycondensation of organosilanes with hydrolyzable groups or hydroxyl groups in presence of: (a) nano-scale silicon dioxide particles and/or (b) oxides and/or hydroxides of alkali and alkaline earth metals are used for the production of vitreous coatings on metal surfaces. Special coating compositions are used for the production of vitreous coatings on metallic surfaces. The compositions are obtained by the hydrolysis and polycondensation of silane(s) of formula (I) or their oligomeric derivatives. RnSiX4-n (I) X = hydrolyzable groups or hydroxyl groups; R = H, alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl groups with up to 4 carbon atoms, or aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl groups with 6-10 carbons; n = 0, 1 or 2, with the proviso that at least one silane with n = 1 or 2 is used in the presence of: (a) nano-scale SiO2 particles and/or (b) oxide(s) and/or hydroxide(s) of alkali and alkaline earth metals. |
