This service is designed primarily for patent information novices, in particular, in small and medium enterprises, as well as at schools, universities and other scientific institutions. Due to limitations of equipment and bandwidth, it is not intended to be a source for bulk downloads. Bulk data may be purchased from DPMA at marginal costs via our data supply services DPMAdatenabgabe and DEPATISconnect. Individuals, companies, IP addresses, or blocks of IP addresses who, in effect, deny service to the general public by generating unusually high numbers (more than 5000) of daily database accesses, whether generated manually or in an automated fashion, may be denied access to these servers without notice. The same procedure applies to evasion of the aforesaid restriction.
